The Beginning
The Beginning
The first step in this process is to remove yourself from all the negative messaging that has become our political system. Once the toxic impacts of this messaging have abated, hopefully you're no longer seeing the other side as the enemy — but as a fellow American willing to work with you to solve our nation's problems.
Repairing the American political system requires addressing several key issues: campaign finance reform, gerrymandering, stricter ethics and conflict-of-interest regulations for public officials, bipartisanship and cooperation, fair and transparent elections, and genuine accountability in government. Addressing systemic inequalities, promoting civic engagement, and fostering a culture of respect and compromise among political leaders is equally crucial for rebuilding trust and ensuring government serves the people. Compromise is the art of politics. We've forgotten that.
The first phase is to get people elected who recognize how destructive corruption is in our legislative system. We must put an end to the billions of dollars that flood our political process. We'll do this by having those running for legislative office sign the Oath — a commitment to changing to a publicly funded system.
Take Action:
Mail or drop off the Oath to Republicans and Democrats running for legislative offices. Print it and take it with you to candidate forums or gatherings. Publicly demand that they sign it to earn your vote.
Once signed, send Brick by Brick a copy and we'll track everyone who has come on board. Then support and work for those who have decided to help end political corruption. Get involved — show them that you are permanently invested in this movement to continue the great American experiment.
