Building an American Renewal
America was never a finished product.
Every generation inherited a country built by those who came before — and a responsibility to leave it stronger for those who come next.
Now it's our turn.

When our founders wrote “We the People,” they meant us.
America has always been a work in progress, and the responsibility for that work ultimately rests with its citizens.
Brick by Brick is a citizen-led effort to bring Americans together for an open and honest conversation about our country's strengths, its weaknesses, and what we can do together to make it better.
Build relationships. Build consensus. Build trust. Then build a better country together.

So Where Do We Begin?
With something millions of Americans already share:
“MY GOVERNMENT DOESN'T ADEQUATELY REPRESENT ME.”
Republicans feel it. Democrats feel it. Independents feel it.
That's where Brick by Brick begins.
Not with what divides us — but with something that unites us.
The Problem.
When people believe their government isn't working for them, frustration grows.
That frustration can become anger — and that anger can be redirected toward one another.
Republican against Democrat. Conservative against progressive. Neighbor against neighbor.
And while we're fighting each other, we're paying less attention to a government that isn't solving the problems affecting all of us.
WE CAN'T FIX WHAT'S BROKEN WHILE WE'RE FIGHTING EACH OTHER.
And the problems aren't getting smaller.
Debt. Healthcare. Education. Housing. Artificial intelligence. Infrastructure. Economic competitiveness.
These aren't Republican problems or Democratic problems.
They're American problems.
The First Step.
Before we try to fix government, we need to stop treating one another as the enemy.
So Brick by Brick asks Americans to do something simple:
TURN DOWN THE NOISE FOR TWO WEEKS.
Step away from the political programming and social media designed to keep us angry.
Spend some time with your family, friends and neighbors without politics getting in the way.
And see whether America looks a little different when someone else isn't constantly telling you whom to fear or hate.

Then Let's Get to Work.
After two weeks, come back to the question that brought us together:
WHY DOESN'T OUR GOVERNMENT ADEQUATELY REPRESENT US?
Then let's start asking why.
What isn't working? What incentives are driving the system? Why are major problems repeatedly left unresolved?
And most importantly:
WHAT CAN WE FIX TOGETHER?
We don't have to agree on everything.
We shouldn't.
Bring your beliefs. Bring your principles. Bring your arguments.
But bring something else, too: a willingness to work with Americans who don't agree with you.
That's where rebuilding begins.
TURN OFF DIVISIVENESS. TURN ON TEAM AMERICA.
